STEM THE ART is dedicated to bringing its unique, hands-on curriculum to students of all backgrounds. These young learners have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities, from making their own straw flute to planting their own crops—all while also learning both the science and artistry behind them!

STEM THE ART is expanding to other parts of the community, including children's museums! At Discovery Cube Orange County, guests had the opportunity to create flutes out of paper straws and learn about the science of sound.

LEARNING PACKAGES

During the COVID-19 pandemic, STEM THE ART began assembling learning packages for different STEM THE ART activities and dropped off at various locations, including Hoag Hospital Irvine and Corazon de Vida Foundation (which distributes supplies to orphanages in Mexico). Our packages have also been distributed to international locations in Taiwan, India, Australia, Japan, and Hong Kong.

Even after the end of COVID-19 restrictions, STEM THE ART has continued creating and donating learning packages. Most recently, STEM THE ART has partnered with the Tustin Unified School District and Santa Ana schools to distribute kits alongside free lunches.

AT EVENTS

STEM THE ART has also moved to participate in events run by both city and organizations, including the City of Irvine! STEM THE ART works together with Irvine Junior Games to participate in an annual expo with over 2,000 junior athletes attendees, where they created paper helicopters and learned about the art of aviation. STEM THE ART has also partnered with Miracle for Kids and taught children from underserved families at Miracle Manor how to create chromotography flowers.
